Coastal Chantilly Custom
- My apologies for the lack of photos. Unlike most of our inventory, this kitchen was already deconstructed before we were called to pick up the cabinets. Although we almost never do this because it doesn't allow us to measure, photograph, inspect and inventory the way we like to, the construction of these cabinets was too good to say no.
The casework is all 3/4" plywood or solid wood. The braces are 6" wide. All the joining screws are pocket holed. The doors and drawers are 3/4" solid wood. These cabinets just feel good and sturdy.
Beyond the construction, about which I have clearly geeked out, the design leaves little to be desired. Glass display cabinets wrap all the way around the kitchen. All the doors and drawers are soft close. There are ten rollout shelves in the large pantry cabinets, a trash/recycle pullout, utility drawer organizers, and more drawer storage than you'll ever need.
Aesthetically, these cabinets define timeless. The architecture is elegant and stately while being inviting. The only downside is that the ceiling of their first home was 108" high. The way the upper cabinets were built we cannot separate the glass display cabinets from the rest of the wall cabinet. The lowest ceiling that we can fit these cabinets into is just over 100". I'm very sorry to anyone who fell in love and has an 8' ceiling.
Last, the paint has chips in places and will need to be touched up or you could consider a full repaint.

- This kitchen was custom built ten years ago for a coastal home on Ocean Drive in Coronado. The owners' family has grown and, to accommodate 10 grandchildren, they elected to remodel.
